Lyon commemorates the death of Antoine de St-Exupéry on June 28 and 29

To mark the 80th anniversary of Antoine de Saint Exupéry’s death, many commemorative events will be held this weekend in his native Lyon.

A ceremony will be held on Friday, June 28 at 1 pm at the foot of the statue dedicated to him in Place Bellecour, in the presence of his grand-nephew Olivier d’Agay and 350 children who will parade down Rue Victor Hugo and perform slam readings of The Little Prince, accompanied by Fafapunk.

On June 29 at 9:30 a.m., at the same location, an official military ceremony will be held in the presence of Air Force and Space Force representatives, veterans, and local authorities.
