From October 18 to December 31, 2024, the Bassins des Lumières in Bordeaux will be hosting a never-before-seen immersive exhibition dedicated to The Little Prince, thanks to a collaboration between Culturespaces and the Succession Antoine de Saint-Exupéry. This unique creation invites you to rediscover Saint-Exupéry’s iconic work in a captivating digital format.
Published in 1943, The Little Prince is a timeless classic, mixing novel, poetry, children’s tale, and philosophical reflection. Saint-Exupéry’s watercolors, which accompany the text, create a recognizable visual universe that is essential to the story.
The exhibition transforms the walls and floors of the Basins of Lights into a world where illustrations and words come to life. Visitors will travel from planet to planet, from desert to meadow, guided by the Little Prince in his quest for understanding and discovery. The main themes of the work – questions and answers, adult and child, happiness and sorrow – are explored through this immersive experience.
The Little Prince speaks to the child in each of us, reminding us of the importance of imagination, curiosity, and compassion. As Saint-Exupéry said: «It is only with the heart that one can see rightly; what is essential is invisible to the eye».
Prepare for a poetic and philosophical journey that will captivate young and old, and let yourself be amazed by the magic of this timeless work.
